LIE: Congress and CM Siddaramaiah are corrupt

TRUTH: BJP CM candidate BS Yeddyurappa was in jail for corruption

While it may suit the Prime Minister and the BJP to claim that the Congress party is a corrupt party, the fact remains that BJP’s Chief Ministerial candidate, BS Yeddyurappa has been to jail on corruption charges. The BJP has given eight tickets to the Reddy brothers that were involved in an illegal mining and exporting scam worth Rs. 35,000 crores. It is not just the Reddy brothers that have been given tickets by the BJP, their associates have also received that honour.

The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath had multiple cases against him, for crimes that include murder and criminal intimidation. Talk about being non-corrupt – when he came to power, his government even passed a law to withdraw them. Another example of the absolute incorruptibility of the BJP, it’s own party president, Amit Shah, has managed to elude being arrested on the suspicious death of Justice Loya.

Apart from corrupt politicians, there are also a number of dubious deals and scams, the first one would be the Rafale deal where the BJP withdrew the contract from government body HAL and handed it to their friend Anil Ambani’s Reliance Group. Not to mention the price of the planes went up by $162 million while the number of planes reduced from 126 to 26. And of course, there are a number of banking scams right from PNB to the Bank of Baroda Forex scam. But all Mr. Modi can do is go on about how the Congress has done nothing for the country while not mentioning anything about the corruption going on in his very own party.

On the other hand, Karnataka’s Chief Minister Siddaramaiah from the Congress party has not been involved in any scams in the five years he has been in power. Under his leadership, Karnataka has been the biggest job creator in the country and his inclusive schemes have benefitted millions of people.
