A website Postcard.news reported “shocking information” that global terrorist Salahuddin was offered a Congress ticket to contest from Amira Kadal constituency for state elections in 1987.
The article mentioned, “Congress wanted to utilize his popularity and gain support in Kashmir for which they had given him MLA ticket from their party”.
Well, what else can you expect from a website being run by the BJP itself, be it unofficially only.
Postcard.news tried to bring in the authenticity quoting Dainik Bhaskar. However, it falsely quoted the daily.
In the article, Dainik Bhaskar only said that Salahuddin contested elections in 1987 on a Muslim United Front (MUF) ticket.
The later part, as stated by the Postcard, that Salahuddin contested on MUF ticket because the National Conference (NC) wanted to filed their candidate was not reported by Dainik Bhaskar, but propagated by Postcard itself. Click here for news source
