Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Giriraj Singh posted a news link on Twitter and wrote, “Top 10 List of Most Corrupt Political Party in the World 2018 and Rahul Gandhi led congress making it all the way to 2nd spot …congratulations to the most corrupt plitical party. You are shame for India.”
His tweet has attracted over 1,000 retweets and 2,333 likes as of now.

He quoted an article by bbcnewshub.com titled “Top 10 List of Most Corrupt Political Party in the World 2018.” The article ranks Congress second in the list of most corrupt political parties in the world.
AltNews did a fact-check and found out that the article shared by the BJP MP has been done by a fake news website posing as the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).

AltNews did a fact-check and found out that the article shared by the BJP MP has been done by a fake news website posing as the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
This is not the first time that people have fallen for this impostor BBC news website.
Chairman of Manipal Global Education Mohandas Pai had also fallen for this fake news website and had used the same article to target the Congress.
As politicians, these people should be more careful while putting out any piece of information.
