One of the most circulated fake news was the one saying that UNESCO declared Modi to the best Prime Minister.
This was taken up by many seriously and the Billiards and snooker star Pankaj Advani tweeted: “Congratulations @narendramodi sir for being declared the best PM in the world by @UNESCO #ProudIndian @PMOIndia.”
This was celebrated all over social media till the PMO denied the news in another RTI reply to the anonymous Ahmedabad-based activist. It said, “In continuation of this office’s letter of even no. dated 20.07.2016, in response to your application (51818) dated 20.06.2016, it is informed that no such information is available on record.”
