This is a blatant lie. The RSS which claims to be the owner of nationalism and patriotism in India today did not even take part in the Indian freedom struggle. They were subservient to the British with its leadership prohibiting participating in mass movements.
Hedgewar, inspired by Savarkar’s idea of Hindutva, founded the RSS in 1925. The RSS not only opposed the mass movements during India’s freedom struggle but were also British spies.
The Sangh was barred from participating in Gandhi’s Salt Satyagraha in 1930 and did not take any part in the Quit India Movement in 1942. So much for their patriotism!
